BENTON - Dewey Lea Dicus, 93, of Benton, died Friday, April 26, 1991, at the Bond Nursing Care Center in Lutesville. He was born Feb. 9, 1898, in Jonesboro, Ark., the son of Crittendon Dicus and Amma Ward Dicus. He was a retired farmer and electrician in the Benton area. He was first married to Katherine Jaehne in 1923; she preceded him in death. He then married Anna Puff on Jan. 29, 1945; she died May 2, 1976...

BENTON - Dewey Lea Dicus, 93, of Benton, died Friday, April 26, 1991, at the Bond Nursing Care Center in Lutesville.

He was born Feb. 9, 1898, in Jonesboro, Ark., the son of Crittendon Dicus and Amma Ward Dicus.

He was a retired farmer and electrician in the Benton area. He was first married to Katherine Jaehne in 1923; she preceded him in death. He then married Anna Puff on Jan. 29, 1945; she died May 2, 1976.

He was also preceded in death by one brother.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Retinas of Lechner, Ala., and Anna Marie Urhahn of Scott City; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton after 3 p.m. today. Services are scheduled at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
