CAIRO, Ill. -- Dewey A. Hornberger Jr., 83, of Cairo died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at Monticello House in Jackson. He was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Cairo, son of Dewey and Christine Etz Hornberger. CAIRO, Ill. -- Dewey A. Hornberger Jr., 83, of Cairo died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007, at Monticello House in Jackson.
He was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Cairo, son of Dewey and Christine Etz Hornberger. His wife, Betty, died in 1989.
Hornberger had owned Hornberger Body Shop. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Hornberger of Cairo; and four grandchildren.
There is no visitation.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church, with Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating. Private burial will follow.
Barkett Funeral Home of Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
