CHARLESTON -- Dewain Kent, 34, of Charleston, died Sunday, June 11, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born June 18, 1960, in East Prairie, son of Emmitt Gillespie and Ora Lee Kent.
Kent was a 1978 graduate of Joliet Central High School in Joliet, Ill., and member of Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church at Deventer.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Emmitt and Georgia Gillespie of Charleston; his mother, Ora Robinson of Joliet; a brother, Emmitt Gillespie Jr. of Charleston; four sisters, Lawanda Moore of Joliet, Tonya Gillespie and Linda Coleman of Charleston, Julie Sager of Kansas City; maternal grandparents, Edward and Ivory Kent of Wilson City.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev. William Watson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
