He was born Feb. 20, 1998, in Carbondale, son of Joshua Aaron Bert and Trisha Dianne DeHart Laws.

Survivors include his parents of Herrin; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Jim Dailey of Herrin, Steve and Cindy DeHart of Dixon; paternal grandmother, Janette Hudson of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Martha Furlow of Cobden, Lena DeHart of Alto Pass; paternal great-grandparents, Rudolph and Evelyn Gavach of DuQuoin.
