VANDUSER -- Dessie Viola Harris, 84, formerly of Vanduser, died Tuesday, May 16, 1995, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
She was born Oct. 29, 1910, in Clarksville, Ark., daughter of William E. and Nancy Jane McCarley Morrison. She and Milburn P. Harris were married May 2, 1931, in Lamar, Ark. He died May 7, 1994.
Harris had been an elementary teacher, and was a member of Vanduser Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Harris of Portageville, Janice Cox of Dexter, and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. Marvin Graham officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
