Dessie Masters, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, July 4, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Feb. 19, 1907, in Laflin, daughter of A.L. and Catherine Hahs Poston. She and Fred Masters were married Jan. 23, 1926, in Jackson. He died Oct. 19, 1993.
Masters was an employee of the International Shoe Factory where she worked for 45 years until retiring in 1969. She was the last surviving charter member of First General Baptist Church where she became a member Jan. 16, 1927.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Revs. David Griesemer and Fred Poston will officiate, with burial at the Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill.
