BENTON, Mo. -- Dennis "Dink" Wilkerson, 58, of Benton died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo., due to complications from injuries suffered in a vehicle accident Aug. 20, 2001.
He was born May 5, 1944, at Fisk, Mo., son of Orville and Margie Wilkerson. He and Elaine Peck were married Feb. 2, 1963, at Fisk, Mo.
Mr. Wilkerson was formerly employed with Fru-Con Construction and Engineering. He was a member of Morley Lodge 184 AF&AM at Morley, Mo., and was of the Pentecostal belief. He had lived in Benton since 1975.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Brenda Wilkerson of Bloomfield, Mo., Gary and Cindy Herch of Camanche, Iowa; three brothers, Bob Wilkerson of Blodgett, Mo., Bill Wilkerson of Humboldt, Tenn., Garry Wilkerson of Benton; two sisters, Ada Lee Hamilton and Jeanette Massey of Benton; and four grandchildren, David, Daniel, Sara and Kelli.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joyce Hicks; and a brother, A.C. Wilkerson.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. The Rev. Sonny Floyd and the Rev. Leroy Young will officiate. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery at Dexter, Mo.
