EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. -- Dennis Hunter, 72, of East Cape Girardeau gained his angel wings Saturday, March 9, 2019.
He was born Sept. 7, 1946, in Pemiscot County, Missouri, to Ray and Sylvia Bostic Hunter. He married JoAnn Sadler on Jan. 19, 1968. She survives.
He is also survived by two daughters, Cynthia (Tony) Garcia and Kimberly (Jason) Smith; son, Joshua (Cheryl) Hunter; sisters, Kathleen Schrum and Cathy (Sam) Gaines; brother, John Hunter; mother-in-law, Maureen Sadler; grandchildren, Casey (George Roach) Garcia, Elizabeth (Brandon Carroll) Garcia, Cale Garcia, Ashley Garner, Gregory (Gwen) Smith, Dylan (Krystle) Smith, Cheyenne Hunter and Cole Hunter; and great-grandchildren, Audrina, Rozalyn and Anistyn Roach, Kayden Carroll, Angela Garcia, Jayce, Henley, Karsyn and Landry Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Rick, Terry and Carl Ray Hunter; sister, Donna Cox; brothers-in-law, Dwight Cox and Ronnie Schrum; and father-in-law, Cotton Sadler.
A celebration of life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. March 23 at the East Cape Community Building.
