SIKESTON -- Dennis E. Walker, 83, of Sikeston, died Monday, March 9, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born July 4, 1908, at Bernie, son of David Charles and Bertha Faye Crawford Walker. He and Lola A. Ray were married Nov. 7, 1926, in Piggott, Ark.
Walker was a retired agent with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., and had managed Kroger stores in Parma, Malden and New Madrid.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, member and past worshipful master of Sikeston Masonic Lodge 310 AF&AM, and member and past worthy patron of Sikeston Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dennis Walker of Albuquerque, N.M., Dale Walker of Sikeston; a daughter, Janice Schrader of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Melba Day of Poplar Bluff, Mary Seay of Sam Jose, Calif.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.
A brother preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Charles Buck will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
