PATTON, Mo. -- Delvert Eugene Russell, 85, of Patton passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 20, 1928, in St. Louis, son of James Delvert and Flossie Irene Ballard Russell. He and Marcia Henson were united in marriage Dec. 28, 1988.
Mr. Russell was a retired Teamster and over the road truck driver and a member of the Union Light Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Russell of Patton; sons, Melvin Russell of Rolla, Mo., Richard Russell of Houston, Mike Russell and Samuel Russell, both of Fredericktown, Mo., and Clay Busby of Aurora, Colo.; brothers, Robert Russell of San Antonio, James Russell of Killeen, Texas, David Russell of Arizona, Paul Russell of Bloomington, Ill., and Butch, Gary and Dennis Russell, all of Illinois; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Russell.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Union Light Church near Marquand, Mo., with the Rev. Ray Mills and the Rev. Donald Sander officiating. Interment will be in the Union Light Cemetery.
