Delphus Barnhart

Delphus Barnhart, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 1, 2002, at his home.

He was born Aug. 4, 1922, in Marmaduke, Ark., son of Seab and Etta Moore Barnhart. He and Shirley Magelitz were married June 21, 1975.

Barnhart served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, and a sister, Ima Vanderbelt of Jonesboro, Ark.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Lorimier Cemetery. The Rev. Raymond McAfee will officiate.

McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
