Delpha K. Eftink, 87, of Oran died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born on June 23, 1918, in Portageville, daughter of Olive and Etta Boatwright LaFont. She and Henry J. (H.J.) Eftink were married on Oct. 5, 1937. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1999...

Delpha K. Eftink, 87, of Oran died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on June 23, 1918, in Portageville, daughter of Olive and Etta Boatwright LaFont. She and Henry J. (H.J.) Eftink were married on Oct. 5, 1937. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1999.

Eftink was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran and St. Ann Sodality.

Survivors include seven sons, Monsignor Edward M. Eftink of Jackson, Michael J. Eftink of Gordonville, Thomas H. Eftink of Chaffee, Mo., Larry R. Eftink of Springfield, David E. Eftink of Oran, Louis M. Eftink of Sedgwick, Kan., and Kenneth J. Eftink of Bloomfield, Mo.; one daughter, Barbara J. Jarvis of St. Louis; 25 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. and Knights of Columbus Rosary at 6:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran with Monsignor Edward M. Eftink officiating. Burial will be at the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.
