MARBLE HILL, Mo. — Deloris Jean Mantz, 75, of Marble Hill died Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at StoneBridge Senior Living.
She was born Sept. 9, 1948, in Cape Girardeau to Woodrow and Dorothy Hanners Price. She and Larry William Mantz were married Nov. 20, 1970, in Jackson. He preceded her in death Dec. 29, 2007.
Deloris worked at the Jackson shoe factory, was a cook at Cape Girardeau Regional Airport for five years and at Bridgeway Restaurant for two years, and was a housekeeper at Holiday Inn for two years.
Survivors include two sons, James (Kimberly) Ward of Marble Hill and Frank Ward of Cape Girardeau; brother, Billy Price of Jackson; two sisters, Sherry Vance of Neosho, Missouri, and Sandy Mayberry of Jackson; four grandchildren, Erin Ward, Erica (Bernard) Richards, Brandon Bell and Emmy Jean Ward; and one great-grandchild, Isaac Bell.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, LaVonda Casey.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Stevens officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
