Delores Shirkey

ANNA, Ill. — Delores Imogene Shirkey, 73, of Anna died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at her home.

She was born Sept. 27, 1934, in Anna, daughter of Herman and Katherine M. Irvin Miner. She and Charles F. Shirkey were married Oct. 6, 1979, in Denver.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Cobden, Ill. Shirkey was a retired food supervisor in the Denver school system.

Survivors include her husband; two children, Jackie Winkler of Littleton, Co., and Jill Pennt, of Denver; a stepdaughter, Diance Brinkley of Spokane, Wash.; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Holderfield of Cobden.

Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. at the Cobden Cemetery. Burial will follow.
