Delores Newton

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The funeral for Delores Newton of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. today at Trinity Gospel Church, with Larry Davis officiating. Burial will be in Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Newton, 59, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003.

She was born June 21, 1942, at Charleston, Mo., daughter of Marion and Evelyn Delk Blackburn. She and Billy J. Newton were married Feb. 22, 1969. He died Sept. 26, 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Newton of the home; a sister, Anna Mitchell of Sikeston; two brothers, William "Bill" Blackburn of Bertrand, Mo., and Rolwing Blackburn of Sikeston.
