Delores Inda Henson, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at Chateau Girardeau.
She was born June 4, 1923 to Minnie and Herbert Ervin. She married Lloyd G. Henson July 5, 1942.
She was a charter member of Word of Faith Fellowship in Cape Girardeau. In her early years, she was a Sunday school teacher at South Side Baptist Church.
She worked at Little Ten Shoe Co., White Cross and Anderson Clark. She was also a foster parent to five children.
Her family was her life. She also enjoyed working outside in her flower garden, putting puzzles together, cooking and sewing.
She is survived by a son, Don (Susan) Henson; grandchildren, Dan Henson, David (Linda) Henson and Tammy (David) Barani; stepgrandchildren, Bill Churchill, Cheri Churchill and Kerri (Wade) Christian; great-grandchildren, Donny, Cody and Dylan Henson and Ella Barani; step-great-grandchildren, Alex (Leigha) Churchill and Silas Christian; sister, Hilda Bush; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Statler; and several nieces, nephews and her little dog, Roxie.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Lloyd; son, Mikey Dean Barnhart; daughter-in-law, Sandy Henson; and brothers, Roscoe, Paul (Sonny) and Jackie Ervin.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.
Funeral will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with her son, Pastor Don Henson, officiating.
Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be David, Dan, Donny, Cody and Dylan Henson and Roger Bush.
