Delores Gettings

Delores "Dee" Medley Gettings, 60, of Scott City formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 21, 1946, in Delta, the daughter of the late Russell L. and Iva Driskill Medley.

Dee was a member of The Church of Morley in Morley, Mo., where her church family was always very supportive and loving to her.

Survivors include two daughters, Monica Burnett of Benton and Stacey Diebold of Scott City; a brother, Truman Medley of Sikeston; two sisters, Rhonda Vaughan of Nashville, Tenn., and Sharon Schwartz of Sikeston; three grandchildren, Richard Bryant Diebold of Scott City, Rachel E. Burnett of Benton and Katie Renee Diebold of Scott City.

She was preceded in death by a son, Barry Kern Gettings, one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bon Reynolds and Rev. Doug Sikes officiating.
