ADVANCE, Mo. -- Delma Lucille Lape, 81, of Advance passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 19, 1933, at Buchanan, Missouri, daughter of Benton and Audrey Younger Durham. She and Hughie Lape were married May 23, 1949, in Piggott, Arkansas.
Delma retired as a CNA at Beverly Healthcare, where she worked 16 years. She also worked at Inland Shoe Co. for 15 years. She was a member of Advance Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Dwaine Lape of Dexter, Missouri; two daughters, Brenda DeJournett and Linda Adkins of Advance; two brothers, James Benton Durham Jr. of Chesterfield, Missouri, and Jerry Dean Durham of Waterloo, Iowa; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
The funeral was Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel, with Kyle Carter officiating. Burial was in Morgan Memorial Park.
