DELLA N. MCDOWELL

Della Novella McDowell, 82, of 2555 Masters Drive died Saturday, Sept. 7, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 27, 1913, at Brownwood, daughter of Henry and Delia Brandon George.

She was a member of the Church of Christ of Jackson.

She and Arthur McDowell were married Sept. 16, 1933, at Brownwood.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, David McDowell of Cape Girardeau, Bill McDowell of Huntington, W.Va., and Chuck McDowell of Evansville, Ind.; two daughters, Lorrie Tetrick of Rock Island, Ill., and Chris Hartline of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sons, a daughter, five half-brothers, a sister and three half-sisters.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jerry Culbertson and Steve Simmon will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
