ADVANCE, Mo. -- Della "Biggon" Cobb, 80, of Advance died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 29, 1926, in Haleyville, Ala., daughter of William and Alice Flanagan Head. She and Dorris Cobb were married June 10, 1947. He died in 1961.
She was a homemaker for her family.
Survivors include a son, Rickey Cobb of Delta; a brother, Wallace "Curley" Head of Oran, Mo.; two sisters, Susan Angle of Advance, Shirley Statler of Oviedo, Fla.; two grandchildren, Daniel Cobb of Chillicothe, Ill., Matthew Cobb of Peoria, Ill.; a great-grandchild, Haleigh Cobb of Peoria, Ill.; a close friend, Audy Page of Greenbrier, Mo.; several nieces and nephews including Brenda Reed and Kay Coleson of Advance; and special caregiver, Melinda Hovis of Advance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and four sisters, Balmar Townley, Thelma "Billie" Williamson, Lella "Tinsy" Herrin, and Velma Rainey.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee from 11 a.m. to service time today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Darrell Coleson and the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
