DELLA CASTEEL

Funeral service for Della F. Casteel of Cape Girardeau will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Donny Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Bland Union Cemetery at Bland.

Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Casteel, 93, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 1997, at Heartland Care Rehab Center.

She was born Aug. 6, 1904, at Meta, daughter of Henderson and Martha Pendelton Williams. She first married Harold Smith in 1925 at Belle. He died Sept. 8, 1956. She and the Rev. Charles E. Casteel were married in February 1958 at Blue Springs. He died in August 1983.

Casteel worked at International Shoe Co. 10 years, and was a member of Red Star Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, the Rev. Cy Smith of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
