EAST PRAIRIE -- Dee Uthoff, 72, of East Prairie died Saturday, June 12, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Feb. 28, 1921, in Matthews, the son of Thomas Jefferson and Eva Denning Uthoff. On Nov. 2, 1972, he married Ruth Hunt, who preceded him in death Jan. 9, 1989.
He had lived all his life in Mississippi County, where he was retired from the Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Uthoff of East Prairie and Kenneth D. Bond of Chino Hills, Calif.; a daughter, Beverly Moore of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a step-daughter, Johnnie Thompson of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Donna Byassee of East Prairie and Pansy Ayers of Sikeston; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Mike Johson and the Rev. Dave Bowden will officiate, and burial will be in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.
