Debra Sue Yates, 60, of Scott City died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 11, 1954, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Wilburn Logan and Estella Marie Mitts Stovall. She married Kelly Lance Yates on Sept. 30, 2006, in New Hamburg, Missouri. He preceded her in death Nov. 27, 2010.
She was a loan officer for Ferrell Mobile Homes in Benton, Missouri, and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton.
She is survived by a son, Billy Hoskins of Scott City; two daughters, Shawna Schmitt of Scott City and Debra (Todd) Phillips of Oran, Missouri; five grandchildren, Allison, Emily, Gage and Kara Phillips and Josh Schmitt; five sisters, Faye Sandusky, Patsy Pickett and Liz Abernathy, all of Jackson, Sandra Freeman of Springfield, Illinois, and Marilyn Brewer of Cape Girardeau.
She was also preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the Unity Baptist Church in Benton.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City was in charge of arrangements.
