ESSEX, Mo. -- Debra Marlene Surface, 55, of Essex passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Aug. 12, 1955, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Rodney and Margaret Kinder Long. She and Junior H. Surface were married in 1972 at Bell City, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kenneth J. Surface of Millersville, Jarrid L. Surface of Essex; three brothers, Ricky Long of Essex, Randy and Ronald Long of Bell City; two sisters, Tammy Yates of Bloomfield, Mo., Mary Long of Chaffee, Mo.; and a grandson, Andrew Surface of Millersville.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo.
