Debra Jaynes

Debra A. Jaynes, 64, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 5, 1959, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Bill and Delores Ponder. She and Roger Jaynes were married Jan. 23, 1993, at First Baptist Church in Chaffee.

Debra was a licensed practical nurse, after finishing her schooling in Sikeston.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Oran.

Survivors include three daughters, Ashley (Justin) Adrian of Wentzville, Gretchen Payne (James Wright) of Charleston and Amanda Tubbs; and a sister, Paulette Scheper of Cape Girardeau.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger Jaynes; and brother-in-law, Ron Scheper

Her memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 13, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, officiated by Brother Phil Thompson.

Burial will immediately follow the service.
