Deborah Robertson, 61, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at her home.
She was born May 1, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Frank and Edna Burlin Kenyon. She and Wesley Robertson were married Aug. 22, 1980, in Cape Girardeau.
Deborah grew up in Cape Girardeau, graduating from Central High School in 1971. She had a voracious appetite for reading. She loved books and worked at Cape Girardeau Public Library from 2002 to 2013. She loved to work crossword puzzles and faithfully ran or walked every day that she could. Deborah was a friend of Bill W. Whenever possible she enjoyed going to the casino.
Loving survivors include Wesley, her husband of 34 years; a son, David Robertson of Springfield, Missouri; a granddaughter, Ruby Robertson of Springfield; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald Kenyon; and a sister, Carol Ann Edmison.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Margaret Morris Brown and Bill Leming will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
