DAYTONA BEACH SHORES, Fla. -- Deborah Ann (Lingle) Figgins, 68, of Daytona Beach Shores, formerly of Elgin and Springfield, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, after complications from lymphoma chemotherapy.

Deb was born May 24, 1953, at Great Lakes Naval Base in Lake County, Illinois, the daughter of Ray and Elsie Lamb Lingle. She was married Aug. 17, 1994, to James Eickstaedt, and he passed away March 5, 1998. She then married Ron Figgins on Oct. 20, 2006, on the beach in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Deb had a 30-year career in banking and worked for JP Morgan/Chase and four predecessor banks. She then worked for Ameristar Financial Services before retirement.

She loved family and was caring and good natured. Her Christian faith was important to her. She shared more than 17 gallons of her blood over her lifetime.

Deb enjoyed sewing, gardening, ballroom dancing and traveling. She and Ron enjoyed 16 cruises and many road trips. She was a Master Gardener and a member of the Sewing Guild, Fox Valley Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and a Springfield bunko group.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, prior husband James and beloved cat "J."

Survivors include her husband, Ron; children, Andrew (Bethany) Figgins and Laurel Figgins; three grandchildren, Reece, Gabe and Luke; sister, Terry Shafer; and brother, Greg (Angie) Lingle; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois, followed by memorial service at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Clint Nale officiating. Cremation interment will be at a later date.
