SIKESTON, Mo. -- Dean L. McDonald, 75, of Sikeston died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Elkhart, Ind., son of Robert H. and Rita Mae Bickel McDonald. He and Barbara Sue Bonifield were married Nov. 26, 1956, in Elkhart. She died June 11, 1995. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Dean L. McDonald, 75, of Sikeston died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Elkhart, Ind., son of Robert H. and Rita Mae Bickel McDonald. He and Barbara Sue Bonifield were married Nov. 26, 1956, in Elkhart. She died June 11, 1995. He and Marge Ingram were married May 29, 1999, in Sikeston.

McDonald had been an ironworker in the construction business. He was a member of American Legion Post 114 and Sikeston Eagles Aerie 3319.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dean McDonald of Sikeston; a daughter, Rita Bays of Sikeston; and a brother, Ned McDonald of Goshen, Ind.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 10 a.m. Friday.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Martin Lucas officiating.
