Dean D. Conrad, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born April 13, 1923, at Patton, son of Dale Conrad and Ruby Dolle Conrad. He and Margaret Parks married July 30, 1949, at Cape Girardeau.
Conrad was an avid vegetable gardener and hunter. He was co-owner of Sedgewickville C and B Feed and Seed in Sedgewickville for more than 25 years. He also worked as a foreman in the warehouse of Safety Kleen for more than 14 years. He was also a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Jennifer Webb of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Keith Conrad of Sikeston; a sister, Helen Hampton of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Three sisters and a grandchild preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with the Revs. E. K. Purcell and William Burke officiating. Burial will follow at the Lorimier Cemetery.
