ANNA, Ill. -- Clyde Davis Warren, 92, of Anna died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at his home.
He was born Nov. 19, 1909, in Ewing, Ill., son of Lavo and Mary Neal Warren. He and Ethel M. McNeal were married Sept. 13, 1930.
Warren was a miner 45 years with Freeman Coal Co. He was a Democratic precinct committeeman 20 years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and VFW Post 2671 in Benton, Ill., Scottish Rite and Benton Odd Fellows. He was a past president of Benton Local UMWA, and past master of Masonic Lodge 64 in Benton.
Warren served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Elaine Garland of Stillwater, Okla.; three sons, Max Warren of Lempster, N.H., George Warren of Anna, Harry Warren of Peoria, Ill.; a sister, Wastina Ayers of Mount Vernon, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and after 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Benton.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Tim Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery at Benton.
