David Michael Watkins Sr., 55, of Morley, Mo., died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo. David Michael Watkins Sr., 55, of Morley, Mo., died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born July 17, 1950, in Sikeston, son of Elmer Clifton and Norella Marie Graham Watkins.

Watkins was a member of the Bootheel Cowboy Church in Sikeston and was a truck driver.

Survivors include his mother, Norella Watkins of Morley; four sons, Joe Ross of Sikeston, Mike Watkins of Cape Girardeau, David Watkins Jr. and Kevin Watkins, all of Bertrand; a daughter, Tomma King of Delta; four brothers, Junior Watkins, Dan Ray Watkins and Jimmy Dale Watkins, all of Sikeston, and Bill Watkins of Jackson; a sister, Ann Marie Lamb of Morehouse; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two grandchildren.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Bootheel Cowboy Church in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. at the Bootheel Cowboy Church with the Rev. J.D. McClard officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
