David R. Seyer, 52, of Clermont, Fla., died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, in Chula Vista, Calif.
He was born June 9, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, son of August and Minnie Menz Seyer. He and Linda Decker were married Dec. 7, 1969, at New Hamburg.
Seyer was a graduate of Kelly High School at Benton. He moved to Clermont 18 years ago from Cape Girardeau.
He was a professional musician, singer and songwriter. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont. Seyer was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scott Seyer of O'Fallon, Ill., Jason Seyer of Utah; a daughter, Shelli Chinlund of Narava Beach, Fla.; three brothers, Jim Seyer of Dutchtown, Marvin and Don Seyer of Chaffee; and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Friends may call at Kurfiss Funeral Home in Clermont after 5 p.m. Sunday. The rosary will be recited at 7.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Church.
