CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Funeral service for David O. Howe of Baton Rouge, La., was held at Welsh Funeral Home there Feb. 11. Burial was in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Howe, 74 years old, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 1991, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Route.
He was born May 14, 1916, at Hayti, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Howe. He and the former Agusta Smude were married July 22, 1940. She died March 17, 1990.
Howe was reared in Cape Girardeau, graduated from Central High School, and had worked at Marquette Cement Co.
He retired as plant manager at Ideal Cement Co. in Baton Rouge. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge, member of the Masonic Lodge in Ada, Okla., and was a former member of Oklahoma State University Board of Regents.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Howe and Kathy Ziegler of Baton Route; two sons, David Howe of Rock Hill, S.C., Richard Howe of Brandon, Fla.; three brothers, Paul Howe of Missoula,, Mont., A.L. Howe of W. Des Moines, Iowa, Gene Howe of Cape Girardeau, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
