David Wayne Moore, son of the late Harold B. and Dula Mai Ray Moore Sr., was born May 26, 1942, in Hickman, Kentucky, and departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at his brother's residence in Scott City at the age of 78 years after a short battle with cancer.
David graduated from Fulton County High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. David retired from CNA Insurance Company. He loved to travel all over the world.
David was raised by the late Hoyt Allen and Minnie Lawrence Barnett. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Moore Jr., Billy Moore and John Moore; and a sister, Martha Ann Campbell.
Survivors include two brothers, Bobby (Mary Bell) Moore of Scott City and Larry (Lisa) Barnett of Katy, Texas; several nieces and nephews; also, two very special nieces, Krystal Moore and Kacey Lance, who took care of him during his illness.
The family would also like to give a special thank you to Saint Francis Hospice.
Services will be held at a later date, conducted by the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
