MARQUAND, Mo. -- David E. Mitchell, 67, of Marquand died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Farmington, Mo.
He was born Jan. 23, 1934, at Puxico, Mo., son of Clifford and Katie Peebles Mitchell. He and Shirley J. Young were married Feb. 14, 1953, at Piggott, Ark. He and Palma Ann Hinkle were married Aug. 8, 1980, at Farmington, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, David G. Mitchell of Fredericktown, Mo., Craig Mitchell of Cape Girardeau and Scott Mitchell of St. Louis; a stepson, Stan Hinkle of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Patty Cooper of Puxico, Cathy Allen of Leopold, Mo., and Carol Mitchell of Kilgore, Texas; two stepdaughters, Rita Ridings of Marble Hill, Mo., and Loretta Hasty of Festus, Mo.; two brothers, Floyd R. Mitchell of Bunker, Mo., and Doyle Mitchell of Puxico; five sisters, Joyce Hemby, Bonita Copeland and Barbara Nall, all of Puxico, Sylvia Hale of Wappapello, Mo., and Freda McCain of Marble Hill; 12 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Follis & Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Willis Guess will officiate, with burial in Miller Cemetery in Madison County.
