BENTON — David Lee Kilburn, 76, of Benton died Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Dec. 23, 1947, at home in Hayti to Edward Lee and Edna Lucille Kilburn. He and Lillie Jean Brown were married June 8, 1968, in Cape Girardeau.

David worked at the Florsheim Shoe factory for 33 years and Brown Shoe, and later retired from Havco Wood Products in 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Jean Kilburn of Benton; four sons, Mark (Dawn) Kilburn of Benton, Michael Kilburn of Jackson, Randy (Sirena) Kilburn of Diehlstadt and Patrick Kaufman of Jackson; sister, Ruby (Dennis) Trammel of Hayti; brother, Tom (Hope) Kilburn of Rockview; seven grandchildren, Megan Kilburn, Dustin Hale, Brandon Lang, Hannah Lang, Sabrina Ramos, Anna Kilburn and Randy Kilburn Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Maranda Hale, Waylon Hale and Valerie Lang; and five fur grandchildren, Rowdy, Baby Girl, Whiskey, Tequila and Winnie.

David was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob Kilburn; and two sisters, Corine Kilburn and Margie Quinn.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 11, at Ford and Son Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will follow at noon Saturday, May 11, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Frank Worthington officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family for funeral expenses.
