PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- David K. Holshouser, 55, of Perryville died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at his home.
He was born Sept. 21, 1955, in McClure, Ill., son of Albert and Alberta Kaufman Holshouser. He and Daria Stauffacher-Bennett were married April 3, 1999, in Cape Girardeau.
David was a licensed practical nurse, working 15 years at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife, Daria Holshouser of Perryville; two sons, Josiah Holshouser of St. Louis, Carl (Ashley) Bennett of Lawrence, Kan.; six daughters, Sarah Sanford and Rebekah (Brandon) Dubois of Cape Girardeau, Nicole (Dustin) Bishop of Fayetteville, N.C., Elisabeth Holshouser of Jackson, Meg Bennett of Perryville, Amanda Holshouser of Columbia, Mo.; three sisters, Bobbie Verble of Wolf Lake, Ill., Doris Snell and Gerri Forehand of Thebes, Ill.; two brothers, Lennis Holshouser of Savannah, Ga., Douglas Holshouser of Marble Hill, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Colten, River, Jordyn, Blake and Evan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joshua Keith Holshouser; two brothers, Kenny and Lloyd Holshouser; two sisters, infant Lois, and Ruth Orick.
All services are private.
