ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Funeral for David Loren Fear of Alto Pass will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Alto Pass. The Rev. Clifford Heil will officiate. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery, with graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna, Ill.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Fear, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.
He was born Jan. 29, 1911, in Alto Pass, son of John A. and Laura Foster Fear. He and Gertrude B. Hoke were married June 2, 1934, in Dongola, Ill. She died Sept. 2, 1997.
Fear was retired from Pandjiris Corp., where he was a welder more than 40 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 342 at Ferguson, Mo. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita Cannon of St. Ann, Mo.; a son, David Fear of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three sisters, Violet Brimm and Nina Merriman of Anna, Eula Gunn of Cobden, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
