PERRYVILLE -- David A. "Blackie" Masters, 83, of Perryville died April 1, 1995, at his home in Perryville. He was born Aug. 29, 1911, at Marble Hill, the son of Manuel and Maggie Masters. He married Vivien Snodgrass Aug. 29, 1953. He retired from General Motors Corp. in St. Louis in 1971...

PERRYVILLE -- David A. "Blackie" Masters, 83, of Perryville died April 1, 1995, at his home in Perryville.

He was born Aug. 29, 1911, at Marble Hill, the son of Manuel and Maggie Masters. He married Vivien Snodgrass Aug. 29, 1953. He retired from General Motors Corp. in St. Louis in 1971.

He had lived in Perryville since 1978, moving from St. Louis. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in Gen. George Patton's command, and was a member of the American Legion post at Perryville.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Masters and Michael Masters of St. Louis; two daughters, Linda Barylski and Sharon King of St. Louis; a stepson, Donald Gene Fullerton of Illinois; one brother, Eugene Masters of Marble Hill; two sisters, Eula Fahrenkrog and Pearl Harris of Marble Hill; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call today at 4 p.m. at Baker Funeral home in Marble Hill.

Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Baker Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Masters officiating.

Burial will be in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
