Dathal Sams

OLIVE BRANCH,Ill.--Dathal Sams, 89, of Olive Branch died Friday, June 28, 2002, at her home.

She was born Mar. 5, 1913, at Hickman, Ky., daughter of Peter and Maggie Anne Stone Brown. She and Ralph Sams were married November 1936. He preceded her in death June 8, 1967.

Sams was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch. She was also a retired meat cutter from Buddy's Market in Olive Branch.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Garrett of Olive Branch; and one brother, Rupert Brown of Manchester, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms , Ill., from 5-8 p.m. today and 8-11 a.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch. The Rev. Carl Hester and Rev. Billy Don Heady will officiate, with burial at Olive Branch Cemetery.
