SIKESTON - Darcy M. Spradling, 78, of Sikeston, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 12, 1914, in Herber Springs, Ark., son of Jan and Vernie Gay Spradling.

He married Lorene Miller on Dec. 10, 1941 in Cape Girardeau.

Spradling was a retired farmer. He served as a mechanic in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was a member of the Temple of Faith Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Vernon L. Spradling of Las Vegas, Nev., Homer H. Spradling of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Hattie E. Boyer of Kewanee, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Nunnelee Chapel in Sikeston with the Rev. Ray Mills of Fredericktown officiating.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
