SCOTT CITY -- Daphna Mary Morrett, 68, of Scott City, formerly of Oran, died Saturday, May 21, 1994, at her residence. She was born Sept. 26, 1925, at Catron, daughter of Earl Washington and Jessie Eleanor Sanders Horn. She married Richard Raymond Morrett, Oct. 25, 1952. He died Oct. 20, 1978...

SCOTT CITY -- Daphna Mary Morrett, 68, of Scott City, formerly of Oran, died Saturday, May 21, 1994, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 26, 1925, at Catron, daughter of Earl Washington and Jessie Eleanor Sanders Horn.

She married Richard Raymond Morrett, Oct. 25, 1952. He died Oct. 20, 1978.

Morrett was a retired nurse's aid. She had worked for the Chaffee General Hospital.

She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She also attended the Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas E. Clark of St. Louis, Robert D. Morrett of Oran; two daughters, Gail Cook of Westminster, Calif., Rita Parker of Scott City; two brothers, Hubert Horn of Columbia, S.C., Charles Horn of Pocahontas, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, with the Rev. David Pringle and the Rev. Gary Bookout officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
