Danny Tallent

MARQUAND, Mo. -- Danny C. Tallent, 93, of Marquand passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Bertrand Nursing Center in Bertrand, Missouri.

He was born June 10, 1923, in Tallent, Missouri, son of William Murphy and Lillian Lavern Zimmerman Tallent. He and Adell Statler were married March 2, 1946, and she passed away Dec. 26, 2011.

Danny was an over-the-road truck driver, a farmer and a member of the Patton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include sons, Danny (Rose) Tallent of Patton, Missouri, Ken (Phyllis) Tallent of Cape Girardeau and the Rev. Rocky (Becky) Tallent of Patton; daughter, Carol (Mike) Cochran of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, Angie Menz, Corey (Becky) Menz, Tim (Beth) Tallent, Kristin Tallent, Greg (Nancy) Tallent, Casey (Gus) Macias, Brandon (Heather) Tallent and Ben Tallent; and nine great-grandchildren, Madison Gaddis, Braelyn Menz and Hunter, Shelby, Carter, Paige, Eli, Van and Willy Tallent.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jesse and Billy Tallent; and sisters, Glenda Dicus, Hazel Barrett and Wilma Lindeman.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Roger Cary and the Rev. Bud Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Marquand.
