Danny Gonzales

Danny Joe Gonzales, 64, of Jackson died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 3, 1946, in Baton Rouge, La., to Danny and Velma St. Pierre Gonzales. He and Mary Jane Green were married Oct. 24, 1986, at Benton, Mo.

Danny worked for Kelley Transportation and later for Cape County Transit. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Gonzales of Jackson; two daughters, Shannon Blair of Cut Off, La., Charlotte (James) Perrin of Winnfield, La.; two stepdaughters, Laura Baker of Pearland, Texas, Michelle (Darin) Bogenpohl of Jackson; two stepsons, Greg Baker of Cape Girardeau and James (Traci) Malone III of Jackson.

Also a sister, Carli (Joey) Keller of LaPlace, La.; his father, Danny Gonzales of Seagoville, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Lauren LeGrand, Alexis Bogenpohl, Kalie Hunt, Caden Reece Bogenpohl, Charles Blair Jr., Harle Blair, Allen Travirca Jr., Shelbi Travirca, Scarlett Mobley, Joshua Baker and Kiefer Baker; two great-grandchildren, Mecca Blair and Michaela Mobley.

He was preceded in death by his mother; great-grandparents, Charley and Hewige St. Pierre; and a brother.

Funeral service was private. Interment was in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
