After an enjoyable motorcycle ride Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, Dann Dickemann settled in at home and began his heavenly journey. He is now with his parents, Orville and Ora Turner Dickemann, and siblings, Robert "Sonny" Hahs, Fairalee Baity and Kenneth Hahs.
Dann was born Jan. 25, 1948, in St. Louis. He happily shared life for nearly 13 years with his beloved wife, Diane Jordan.
Dann was known for his quick wit, sense of humor and his ability to make friendships with all who had an opportunity to know him. His servant heart and deep faith in his Lord was evident to many. He frequently shared memories of his Navy days, serving from 1967 to 1970, and his work years, most of which were at Doe Run in Herculaneum, Missouri. He attended First Baptist and Connection Point churches in Jackson.
Loving survivors include his wife, Diane; children, Daniel (Shari) Dickemann and Donna (Chris) Kelly; Diane's children, Katie (Josh) Ferguson and David (Andrea) Allstun; 10 grandchildren, Drake, Nicholas, Alexis, Zola, Emri, Devin (Amber), Abby, Brendan, Lainey and Ellie; two great-grandchildren, Nash and Kaylee; and mother-in-law, Vallillee Jordan.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Billy Garner and Brian Gill officiating. Burial will be held privately at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Wounded Warrior Project or the American Heart Association.
