Danette Farmer, 78, of Cape Girardeau passed to eternal life Friday, July 19, 2019, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Danette was born Sept. 8, 1940, to the late L.D. and Pearl Mae West Crader, near Gravel Hill. Danette enjoyed her career as a beauty school instructor, employed by American School of Cosmetology. Later, she enjoyed her new career as a school bus driver, where she could keep an eye on her children...

Danette Farmer, 78, of Cape Girardeau passed to eternal life Friday, July 19, 2019, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Danette was born Sept. 8, 1940, to the late L.D. and Pearl Mae West Crader, near Gravel Hill.

Danette enjoyed her career as a beauty school instructor, employed by American School of Cosmetology. Later, she enjoyed her new career as a school bus driver, where she could keep an eye on her children.

She is survived by brothers, Richard and Larry Crader; and sisters, Darlene Sniff, Betty Menz, Charlotte Heggemeier, Jackie Seiler and Bonnie Conrad. Also surviving are sons, Alan (April) Farmer, Greg (Darlene) Farmer and Dean Farmer; and daughters, Sharon Ives and Diane (Victor) Brewer. Danette was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

All family and friends are invited to a celebration of life service from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Marble Hill, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Hutchings Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
