Damie L. Bess, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born on April 5, 1925, in Canalou, Mo., daughter of Earl and Allie Pritchett Ramsey.
She married Earl Bess on March 29, 1949, in Jackson.
She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Bess of Cape Girardeau; a son, Chesley Bess of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo.
The funeral will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Thursday with the Revs. Shawn Wasson and Charles Marshall officiating.
Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
