Dalton E. Stevens, 71, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, May 3, 1996, at the Missouri Veterans Home. He was born April 5, 1925, at West Ridge, Ark., son of Esker and Annis Thompson Stevens. He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was a self-employed carpenter...

Dalton E. Stevens, 71, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, May 3, 1996, at the Missouri Veterans Home.

He was born April 5, 1925, at West Ridge, Ark., son of Esker and Annis Thompson Stevens.

He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was a self-employed carpenter.

He is survived by a sister, Marie Mills of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by three bothers.

Graveside service will be held Monday at 10 a.m., at Jackson City Cemetery, with the Rev. John Ferguson officiating, assisted by Jerry Stauber of American Legion Post 63.

Cracraft-Miller funeral home of Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
