Dallas E. Niswonger, 77, of Jackson died Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Jackson, son of Harlan W. and Marie Turner Niswonger. He and Juanita Criddle were married July 2, 1951, in Oak Ridge.
Niswonger worked at the former International Shoe Co. in Jackson from 1945 to 1965, was a car salesman many years in Jackson and Cape Girardeau, and retired from Procter & Gamble in 1991.
He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lynn Niswonger of Ocala, Fla., Don Niswonger of Jackson, Robert Niswonger of Bristow, Va.; a sister, Doris McMillan of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, and after 1 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Jackson.
The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Carter Frey officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
