Dale Walden

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Dale Walden, 67, of Thebes, Ill., died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Meridan Manor Nursing Home in Mounds, Ill.

Born Oct. 25, 1933, in Thebes, he was the son of Clettes Earl and Julia Kelley Walden.

A veteran of the Korean War, he also worked as an ironworker.

Survivors include a son, Tony Walden of Thebes; three daughters, Vickie Schuler of Boise, Idaho, Kathy Smith of Seattle, Wash., and Wendy Brown of Iron Mountain, Mo.; a sister Betty Witzman and a brother Don Walden, both of Olive Branch; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.

A graveside funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Olive Branch Cemetery, with the Rev. Curt Alderson officiating.
